It’s a hat-trick for Soccer Aid Safari

Soccer Aid Safari 2025

For the third year in a row, Soccer Aid Safari scored big over the bank holiday weekend!

On the 24th August, 2024, we gathered at the St. Austell Football Club for the third annual Soccer Aid Safari. The day was a huge success, full of football, food and fun, all whilst raising funds for the Vanessa Grant Trust and The Plymouth Argyle Community Trust.

We went even bigger and better this year, from junior matches to senior kick-offs. Plus, we gave a big Soccer Aid Safari welcome to Plymouth Argyle Football Club itself!

It was all to play for at this year’s Soccer Aid Safari - and oh boy, it was a day to remember!

Soccer Aid Safari 2025

With football, music, and half-time entertainment, plus kids’ activities and country music, Soccer Aid Safari was the perfect way to spend a sunny Sunday in Cornwall. The day was packed with entertainment for all the family, both junior and senior matches, plus live music and delicious food.

Oh, and raising money for charity, of course!

“Soccer Aid Safari 2025 brought the community together for a full day of football, family fun, and live entertainment,” said Miles Lovegrove, Brand Revolution’s Chief Finance & Integration Officer. “Thanks to the incredible support for all those involved for making it a truly memorable day for the whole community.”

Youth Tournament

Our Youth Tournament took the pitch first, with 26 youth teams taking part to try and win the prestigious Soccer Aid Safari trophy. Teams travelled from far and wide, including Plymouth, Truro, Hayle, plus others, to compete in matches throughout the day. It was thrilling to watch their fantastic talent and teamwork out on the field.

Lions vs Cheetahs

Afterwards, our Senior Showdown Match took place, with the game ending in a score of 3-3 after regular time. With nail-biting anticipation, the match went to penalties, where The Lions gained victory - for the third year in a row!

Lights, camera, lion!

Other highlights included the half-time dance show (a lively and energetic performance!), the special guests Pilgrim Pete from Plymouth Argyle and Soccer Aid’s Larry the Lion, and the live country band belting out our favourite tunes. The atmosphere was electric, on and off the pitch!

Food & drink

And did you taste the food? Lipsmackers and Gourmet Guys kept everyone fed and happy, and 8Track Rum Shack made sure everyone always had a drink in their hand.

All in all, there was plenty of fun for all ages both on and off the pitch, making the day a “roaring success” - according to Larry the Lion.

A massive thank you to all those who donated!
