On the 26th of August 2024, Fluid hosted the second Cornwall Soccer Aid Safari at AFC St. Austell, Cornwall, to raise funds for the Vanessa Grant Trust and Cornwall Hospice Care.
Soccer Aid Safari 2024 
“It was a hugely successful day!” said Brandon Tregidgo, Fluid’s Talent & Culture Lead.
The day was another great success with its wild safari theme. From junior matches to senior kick-offs, it was all to play for at this year’s Soccer Aid Safari. It was an excellent opportunity for the local community to come together and get the ball rolling (literally!) for a great cause.
This year’s event motto was “bigger and better” after listening to feedback from last year. From face painting and music to competitions, amazing food and even bouncy castles, the day was an inclusive, family event that brought the community together - with a whole lot of football!
Overall, the event raised a total of £25,000 for the Vanessa Grant Trust and Cornwall Hospice Care.
The Vanessa Grant Trust
The Vanessa Grant Trust is an educational charity based in the rural community of Rongai, Kenya. They provide and improve education in local schools by supporting the continuous development of facilities, helping teachers to develop their skills and acquire ongoing practical knowledge and training. They develop bursary and mentorship support for students who need it most.
“As well as fundraising, we wanted to raise awareness and recruit future volunteers,” added Miles Lovegrove, Fluid’s Managing Director. “We plan to organise trips to Kenya next year to carry on the hard work and develop the project even further!”
