Why we think you’ll love the Cirrus tumbler
It’s made from Prevented Ocean Plastic™
Our Cirrus tumblers are made from 50% Prevented Ocean Plastic™, collected in coastal communities using dedicated collection routes.
Specifically, recycled polypropylene cups
Globally, just 1% of polypropylene is recycled — despite being one of the most widely used plastics.
Which is 100% traceable with QR codes
To make the impact visible and transparent, QR codes on the Cirrus tumbler packaging give you access to the Prevented Ocean Plastic™ story.
Helping local communities thrive
Purchasing the Cirrus tumbler helps support what Prevented Ocean Plastic™ does, which enables local communities to collect plastic safely, earn a stable income, and prevent environmental pollution at source.

It’s also recyclable
Cirrus tumblers are made from 100% mono-material polypropylene, which means that once it eventually reaches the end of their life, they can be fully recycled - keeping plastic in the loop and out of the ocean.
Contributing to a circular future
With every cup used, customers are actively contributing to a more circular future.

Plus, it’s food safe
This is the first time anyone has been able to make a food-grade polypropylene product containing recycled material. The tumblers are recycled into food-safe, EU-approved post-consumer polypropylene.
Bonus: it’s manufactured in the UK
The Cirrus tumbler is manufactured in the UK - meaning less transport pollution to get it from the factory to you.

What is Prevented Ocean Plastic™?
Prevented Ocean Plastic™ is a fantastic organisation of supply chain specialists who collaborate with the best recyclers in the world to prevent plastic from ending up in the ocean.
And it’s no small feat: each month, they prevent over 1000 tonnes of plastic and 2.5 billion plastic bottles from entering the ocean.
How does Prevented Ocean Plastic™ work?
A traceable journey
1. Collected
Plastic is collected from areas at risk of ocean plastic pollution by specific plastic collectors from the local communities.

2. Sorted
The recycling process is carried out in an established, quality-controlled and traceable supply chain - so you know exactly where your plastic has come from, and its prior journey.

3. Cleaned
The plastic is washed, sanitised and processed into raw material flakes or pellets, all according to European and North American quality standards.

4. Transformed
These fully certified recycled plastics can then be used by supermarkets and brands, identifiable by the Prevented Ocean Plastic™ distinctive triangular blue logo.

What is the Prevented Ocean Plastic™ blue triangle?
Whenever you see the Prevented Ocean Plastic™ logo on packaging, this means:
- This product uses packaging that is sourced from a manufacturer that uses Prevented Ocean Plastic™
- One or more of the product’s packaging components include a minimum of 30% Prevented Ocean Plastic™ post-consumer recycled content (PCR)

How does Prevented Ocean Plastic™ ensure due diligence in its supply chain?
It’s amazing the journey your plastic goes on - and we can see each step easily and clearly through the traceability and audit trail documentation that Prevented Ocean Plastic™ uses.
This ensures that each shipment of material is traceable back to the original collection centre.
Plus, Prevented Ocean Plastic™ also works with material users, such as packaging manufacturers, to ensure that collected material is delivered with full traceability.

Meeting certain Prevented Ocean Plastic™ criteria
When collecting the plastics, it has to meet four key criteria before it can be considered Prevented Ocean Plastic™ :
- The area it’s collected in lacks proper waste management infrastructure
- The infrastructure of the area is being overwhelmed by population growth and/or increased tourism.
- There is a significant risk to wildlife and biodiversity
- It is found within 50km (30mi) of an ocean coastline or major waterway that feeds into the ocean.
This is to ensure Prevented Ocean Plastic™ stay true to its mission of preventing plastic from ending up in the ocean.
