As a B Corp, we think beyond profit to support our people and projects that make meaningful contributions to our wider communities. We give back to the community and to projects that benefit others - not just ourselves.
With this in mind our Futures group, who have set up a Charity and Community Event Match Funding Scheme, recently gave the green light to match funds raised by two of our team members with their very worthy charity endeavours.
First up, we have Rosie Franklin, a new addition to our Fluid family, who joined us following the recent acquisition of Reflex Promotions, she’s now part of our Brighton team. Rosie and her family decided to walk a whopping 25 miles to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, a world-leading cancer centre, in honour of her Grandad, who is currently fighting a rare CNS lymphoma.
Rosie and her family completed the 25-mile walk on 29th May 2021 and ended up with lots of blisters! They managed to raise an amazing £2,427 (smashing their original target of £1,500) and Fluid match funded the amount to £4,854!! Rosie adds, “Thanks so much Fluid for match funding!”. We’d like to say a big well done to Rosie and her family, we send all our well wishes to your Grandad.
Next up is Vicki Crosby from Fluid’s Manchester office. Vicki’s daughter Bex decided that she wanted to give something back and grew her hair, with the aim of donating 7 inches of her luscious locks to The Little Princess Trust by her 16th birthday in May 2021.
The mum and daughter team also fundraised leading up to the big chop which happened on 1st June 2021 and Bex ended up donating an impressive 13.5 inches of her hair! The Little Princess Trust is a charity that provides real hair wigs to sick children and young people aged under 24 years old. They managed to raise £550 (overachieving their target of £275) and Fluid match funded the amount to £1100!
