Fluid Futures answer desperate plea from Care4Calais

At Fluid, we think beyond profit to support projects and make a meaningful contribution to our wider communities. We aim to give back to the community and projects that benefit others, not just ourselves.

With this in mind, the Fluid futures group has recently been able to help with a desperate plea from charity Care4Calais, a volunteer-run refugee charity working with refugees in France and Belgium. The charity is currently supporting around 700 refugees in and around Calais who are sleeping rough in the worst conditions. As the weather worsens and temperatures drop their needs are even greater.

The futures group identified some items that might be able to help the charities plead with some stock from their Bury warehouse. The team were able to donate 50 fleece blankets and 100 gel hand warmer packs.

Clare Moseley, founder of Care4Calais comments,

“We are so grateful to Fluid Branding for donating 50 super-warm fleece blankets to refugees sleeping rough in Calais. As days get shorter and nights get colder, these blankets will be desperately needed to keep people warm throughout winter. There are hundreds of refugees stuck outside in Calais who have nowhere to turn for warmth and comfort at this time of year. It is only thanks to the help of generous supporters like Fluid Branding that we are able to help so many vulnerable people."
