2023 wrapped, a year in review - 12 amazing achievements
Our journey through 2023, has seen a year of contrasts and has been quite unpredictable at times, featuring memorable moments like the coronation of a new King of the UK and Commonwealth and an unlikely cinematic head-to-head between Barbie and Oppenheimer, the cultural phenomenon that was Barbenheimer.
Our focus at Fluid has remained centred around our vision of Meaningful Merchandise and Exceptional People.
We've achieved new milestones and garnered some remarkable awards, making a tangible impact together with our Fluid futures, friends and family.
This exceptional year has proven to be one of the best yet. Whether collaborating with our friends and making a difference in the promotional merchandise industry or collaborating with our amazing people and valued clients, 2023 has empowered us to reach our full potential.
As we look forward with enthusiasm to 2024, we're poised to continue improving year on year!
We’d like to showcase the 12 most remarkable accomplishments made possible by your collaboration in 2023, providing an opportunity to celebrate our collective achievements.
January- we won awards
• We won the Feefo Platinum Trusted Service Award 2023 - your invaluable feedback played a pivotal role in setting the positive tone with which we began the year, culminating in our achievement of the Platinum Trusted Service Award 2022 from Feefo. This marks the 8th consecutive year that we have received this esteemed recognition for providing the highest level of trusted service, and we are absolutely thrilled!
• We also won Distributor of the Year £5m+ at the BPMA Annual Awards 2023 - this award celebrates outstanding service, commitment, and professionalism within the industry. It reflects the fact that we are doing things differently; being disruptive, pushing boundaries, and doing meaningful work with purpose.
February- we shared product media trends for 2023
• We kept you up to date on 23 product media trends for 2023 - so that your business could stay ahead of the curve for the new year.
March- we went beyond
• We took part in B Corp month, showcasing the global movement of people using business as a force for good, this year’s theme was “We Go Beyond” and we showcased all the ways we go beyond just merchandise.
April- we stepped back in time
• Ahead of the coronation of King Charles, we shone a spotlight on Coronation merch through the ages.
May- we planted more trees and raised money for good causes
• We reached the amazing milestone of planting 73k trees into our Fluid forest with Ecologi.
• Our amazing team members took part in the Race for Life for Cancer Research UK and were delighted to be able to match-fund their efforts to help them reach their fundraising goals. Read Rhiannon's story here and you can read Charlie, Roy and Adrian’s stories here.
June- we celebrated Pride
• From fantastic rainbow merch to tips to help you show off your Pride in the workplace, June was all about being loud and proud!
July- we launched our new paperless brochure
• We launched our new 2023 brochure- 100% paperless for the first time!
August- we hosted Soccer Aid Safari - Cornwall’s biggest charity sporting event
• A fantastic day of football-focused family fun, raising funds for the Vanessa Grant Trust and Cancer Research UK. We managed to raise a whopping £16,000!
September- we celebrated 2 years of planting trees
• In 2 years of partnering with Ecologi, we’ve planted over 83,000 trees - from the all-important Mangroves to the glorious papaya trees! We’ve helped to reduce CO2 by a whopping 1,732,31 tonnes (that’s the same as flying from London Heathrow to Chicago 1,365 times!). We’re helping 28 ongoing projects which range from preventing deforestation to producing different types of renewable energy for countries all over the world!
October- we had The Greatest Show at our annual conference
• We connected, with colleagues, teams and with our Fluid friends. Celebrating our achievements and successes, connecting face to face, forging meaningful relationships and deepening trust whilst having fun. A Greatest Showman-themed awards dinner topped off the weekend in style.
November- we launched our Green Friday offer - 25 Trees for Christmas
• Launched on Green Friday, we’re not only planting 1 tree with every order but 25 trees with every order into our Fluid forest! Supporting our commitment to be carbon Net Zero by 2030 and encouraging better purchasing decisions that support good causes.
December- we partnered with Tony’s Chocolonely
• Certified B Corp - check, delicious chocolate - check! We‘re delighted to have partnered with Tony’s Chocolonely, offering 100% recyclable fully branded wrappers just in time for holiday cheer!
